YES THEY CAN,,, This is called a "split season" and it presents some interesting problems and requires a completely different breeding philosophy.
If you look at the dogs anatomy, there are two uterus tubs side by side (a normal litter of 6 puppy's would have 3 puppy's in each uterus). With a split season the dog will only get pregnant on one side. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT THE DOG IS NOT ALLOWED TO BREED ON THE SECOND OF THE SPLIT SEASON because this would cause puppy's of two different ages, and would cause major problems (normally dead puppy's on one side causing a passable FATAL infection.)
This problem is NOT as rare as many would think and is a MAJOR reason for the uninformed not to try breeding.

If you insist on trying to breed a dog with a split season, ONLY ALLOW ONE TIE.

No. Get your dog to the vet. If your dog is having a discharge 2 weeks after her normal heat cycle, she may have a life-threatening infection called pyometra. This is when her uterus becomes infected and pus-filled. She could die from this. The #1 symptom is drinking a lot of water-like she can't get enough...good luck

I have seen a few dogs over the years that have seemed to go into heat right after going out. All of them had a problem, hormone problem, or maybe cyctic ovaries.
Have the dog spayed and the problem will be resolved.

This is just a simple guess (so GitEmGang shut the hell up on this one!)

A (normal) heat last approx 3 weeks.
The first week its blood...the second week its straw colored...the third week its blood.
Are you maybe seeing the end of the third week and possibly think you dog started to go into heat again?
I'm not sure if you understand the whole heat buisness???
I'm not saying anything bad about your knowledge of dogs, I just wondered if you knew how long a normal heat usually lasts.

It is not normal, and she should be seen by a vet, as there is an infection or something going on..
