No, it isn't safe to bathe them. You can wash them with fragrance- free baby wipes, or a damp washcloth, but no baths until they are weaned..You can put one cap of Listerine in 2 cups of warm water, and dip a cloth in it and wash them that way..but don't make it any stronger or mom won't let them nurse..wipe/rinse with clear warm water...all on a washcloth.
If you are changing their bedding twice per day, then they shouldn't ever stink..

is the mother cleaning them? are you cleaning the area where they are?; I wouldn't bath them at this young age; the mother should be cleaning them; I have had several litters of pups and never had to do this ; if you really need to intervene; a warm damp towel and then a dry one ; make sure the puppy area is cleaned , at least twice daily.

They should not need baths at this time. The mother should be cleaning up after them still, and the whelping box or area in which they are kept should be changed TWICE daily and totally sanitized.
Better sanitation usually solves the problem.

Ooh, I had the right comparable project with my first dogs. i grew to become right into slightly youthful than you, ten i think of. besides, get him a crate. practice him to sleep in it, and be comfortable in it so as which you would be able to go away him there in one day and once you go away. dogs do no longer prefer to 'grimy' their dozing area, so he will purely pass in there if he's desperate. so as long as you're ensuring that he gets out adequate, and once you come back homestead, enable him out right now and take him exterior, at which element he could could pass undesirable adequate that he will pass suited away. As for water, i comprehend it sounds insane, yet we gave my dogs a rodent water bottle and linked it to the door. confirm the crate is massive adequate for him to tutor around in, yet no longer sufficiently huge to pass in one end and sleep in the different. wish that helps! :D

31/2 weeks
but just use warm water
they are too young to use dog shampoo
dry them carefully
when they get a little older you can use dog shampoo
never use human shampoo on a dog it is a different ph and can harm the dogs skin and fur
they probably smell because they are still very young and tend to
lie in their urine and feces
as they get older they learn not to do that
good luck with the pups
