2) How long does heat last?

3) Does getting her fixed stop this?

4) Does she bleed at all?

5) Is there any external sign that she is in heat?

All UNSPAYED female dog SHOULD go into heat at some point. IF they have not been spayed and do not go into heat....something is wrong.

Almost all bleed at least some.

Spaying STOPS heat cycles.

NO TWO FEMALES HAVE THE SAME CYCLE. One can last 28 days, another just 10. Signs and symptoms of heat vary also.
Days the female is "fertile" during the cycle vary.

Almost all females have very increased swelling of the vulva during heat.

Some are clingier, some are not.

NO TWO ARE THE SAME.

SPAY and you will not have to deal with it!!!!!!

Some come into heat twice a year...some yearly..some every four months.

Spay and avoid the whole mess!!!!!

all female dogs have a heat cycle, their vulva swells and they bleed. you should spay your dogs!!! after you spay there will be no more heat because there will be no more uterus.
