we,ve had him for 7yrs assume he was at least 3-5 when we got him.I know some may bash this?? and me for asking here @YA but i need someones opinion til i can get money next week to take to vet reguarding what they suggest I know they will say "Put Him Down".I do think it may be that time.So sad though this dog was abused terribly Law Enforcement(here in U.S southern state)Wouldn,t do Anything about it.so i took him from the idiot myself!I don,t have much money then or now.I treated him for wounds but he was never x,rayed.He has been to the vet once,but that was it .I continued wound care, kept up with shots, worming and flea/tick treatmentsLOTS of love & exercise.But now for past 2 wks He is Lame in his hips,front leg.he can hardly get up/go outside(poop) What i want to know is :IF I Have To Put him down myself B4 I can get him to vet what dosage of Morphine/Valuim will put him down @home.He is terrifiede of car ride.I DONT WANT TO DO THIS!But in emergency I NEED to KNOW cuz I LUV him

ok so my dog is 9 months old. She was in heat a few weeks ago for the first time. She only got out of the fecned area once. Her nipples are getting really big. And she has a little buldge on her tummy. She was trowing up the other day, that may not have anything to do with it but anyway, Is she pregnant? Also she is always following me and right behind me, but the last few days she like wont leave my side. I sit she sits on me. She nuzzles her head around my neck. Whats going on with her? I think she is wayyy to small to have babys. Shes only 6 pounds. ??????

There are two pet stores in this area that sell puppies from puppy mills. I heard the one in the mall sells 20 puppies per week! I can't stand the thought of that many people willing to support those horrible places! I know that most of them are uneducated about where the puppies come from and they just want a companion puppy, not one that will compete in shows or for breeding. I would like to open a pet store that would support adopting from shelters (both of my pups are from the local shelter) or from a rescue group, but that does offer puppies for sale from responsible breeders for people who think they must have a puppy (there are not many puppies at our local shelters) so they don't have to buy from the mall, but they are not supporting puppy mills. Unfortunately, pet stores have such a bad reputation nobody will sell to them. I would counsel and interview each prospective owner to make sure the puppies went to a good home, and would not sell to them if not. Any ideas?

I just adopted a very under weight rat terrier from the animal shelter yesterday and they spayed her the day before i picked her up, the reason i can tell she is under weight is cause you can see every bone in her poor body,,, my question is what can i feed her to put on weight, i dont want her to be over weight, but she is very under weight and that isnt good either,,, so if someone has ever had a dog that was under weight then please let me know what you fed your dog to put on weight???? Thank you and if you can help me that would be very apperated,,,

he can't use his hind leg but it doesn't hurt when i touch him or when he walks or plays... he just doesn't step on it... the vet told me that he hit and that a neurve is propably being pressed by a bruise... and that he will be fine in 3 days... but now i noticed that one of his hip is sticking out more than the other... and that is the hip of the leg he cannot step on....
please only serious answers.

On Halloween I had to put my black lab to sleep. I rescued him from the pound when he was about 2 years old. I had him for fourteen years. He became so arthretic and lost control of his bowel and bladder. It really was the only option we had left. My question is I have his ashes and want to put them in the local river he used to like to swim but, my friends think I should burry them in the yard. They have also said it is illegal for me to put them there. What do you think?

I'm 15 years of age and i really want a yorkie for christmas i have done so much research and went on so many site for about a year and half now .
i tod him the only thing i wanted for christmas was a dog nothing else but he says we cant afford it but i offered to pay half of the dog
do you think i should get a yorkie?
if so do u no anywhere cheap to get a baby one?
and how can i talk my dad in to letting me get one?

i also had a whole scheldule about getting a dog for when i take it to bathroon breaks when i feed it and everything else i wanted for it.

They started peeing in the house after I had a baby, I know they are jelous but we walk them every other day and we have a fenced in back yard that they play in. One is an un-netured male and a netured female. Were going to check the padding, the floor under is a stained wood, should we still re seal the floor?
