The vet was new to me. He is an old man, working in a so called ER, he works with alone @ night. I took my dog to him after she was attacked my 2 pits, she was loosing a lot of blood. i tok her in and ret her on a table, he let her bleed out for over 30 min before even looking at her. I showed him cash, but he did not do anything. I filled out all the paper work, so he would work on her. He didnt do anything untill i got in is face and told him if he didnt start doing something he wouldint like what i was going to do to him. I would have never got like that if he would have started his job as soon as i set her on the table. my dog even jumped off the table while i was filling out the paperwork, because no one was with her. she had lost a lot of blood, and it was just running out, and he didnt do any thing, and i had money. now she is at another vet, and she is really bad off. i need to do something to teach this old man a leasson

The only thing you can do is file a complaint with the state veterinary licensing board. They will take it from there.

The best thing to do would be to talk to whoever licenses veterinarians in your area. I'm sure there is a licensing board that you could file a formal complaint with. You mentioned that he's a new vet. Is he working under a more experienced vet, or as part of an office that employs several vets? If so, you could bring up your concerns with the senior veterinarian. Since he's new, he might just need some more experience and confidence to be a great vet
Hope this helps!

Edit: I'm sorry you had a bad experience. It bothers me, however, that you refer to him as "old man". Older members of our community can and do contribute a lot. Just because he is old, doesn't automatically mean he doesn't know what he is doing. It really sounds like he was neglectful, though. I'd recomend talking to whomever is in charge of the practice, and seeing if something can be done.
