Our 1-year-old female dachshund has some oozing, lumpy and swollen bumps on her nose. We first noticed them on the 2 days ago. They seem to be growing in size but not necessarily spreading to other areas. I am thinking it may be some sort of bite that is infected or scratches in play that have become infected but 1 of them looks particularly big and nasty. The others are smaller and not as bad but with the same characteristics. Do you have any ideas?

Honestly, what do people get out of watching two dogs fight each other to death? I've seen dog fights and they are disgusting, brutal and inhumane. I can't see why a person would want to watch this.

my female dog is in Heat. But my male dog is too big to breed them with {70 LBS Basset hound vs. 6 pound chihuahua} well last night my dog became very agressive.. He started attacking evreyone and everything in sight. do you think it is because of hormonesor just mean temperment..? he has been mean before but NEVER this bad.

He is a 3 yr old beagle and I can't even let him in the house because he tries to pee on everthing he also does the same thing outside, the other day I saw him even pee on the side of his water bowl. It is such a gross habit of his, he is not neutered . I also have a dachshund and he doesn't do that. What is going on with this dog????

On Wed night I got a new dog. She is 1.5yrs old. I already have a 5 yr old. They are getting on ok, not great friends but not snapping and biting either.
The older dog was/is very spoilt and I have been working on her for the last week with great results - food & attention wise.
She sleeps on our bed and I have had the other dog in the kitchen where she scrapes the door and whines all night. This morning I closed my bedroom door and left them both in the kitchen. I plan to do this from now on while we are at work and at night.
I love to spend a bit of time with them in the mornings and w/e mornings. Is it giving the wrong signals to let them into the bed at these times? Also is it sufficient to put them in the kitchen and close the door or should I do some kind of command/reward system.
Really want to be a better dog owner so all advice will be greatfully received.

She said that the worm looked like a piece of thread, when the dog came in from pooping it was on her butt, when she went to pull the worm with a napkin, it went back in her butt....so that rules out Tapeworm...anyone know this one?
