Thats not good. Keep your lab indoors and well try not to let him do much of anything. Hes probably in pain. You need to take him to the vet, and you are not going to know if its broken, bruised or sprained.
Do you have any friends that know vets or family members? You could drive to their home and at least get an opinion. You need to find the money to get the vet.

Most vets are open to payment plans - you may not have the money to pay $100 today, but you could probably manage $10 this month, $10 the next, etc. and pay for it that way. Some vets will also give you discounts on the basis of hardship.
If there's an ASPCA in your area, contact them and ask if there's a vet in the area who they would recommend.

I conquer with the statement that you shouldn't be in ownership if you can't financially support an animal.
There are some special services that can help assist you in medical coverages - check your local SPCA or Humane Society for resources. There are organizations that help. Also check into the Delta Society of Best Friends Sancturary

well i think a basic check up for something like that may be around 50 dollars but you can not tell if he broke his paw without a check up chances are he just hurt it keep him off it for a couple days and see if it gets better if it doesnt than it may be broken but a couple of days with out vet attention for a broken paw wont make it any worse

If you have the money for a computer and monthly Internet service, then you DO have money for medical care for your best friend. You've just chosen to spend it elsewhere. It's all a matter of priorities.....which means more to you? Your cell phone? Your mp3 player? Your TV? Your DVD player? Or your dog??? Any of those items of convenience (including many others) can be sold or pawned to get money for the medical care your dog NEEDS. You can also get one of those quicky payday or car title loans.
You figure out a way to buy his food every month, don't you? Then you can figure out a way to pay for his medical care. (It's just as important as his food.) If you can't do that, then please give him to someone who cares enough about him to be willing to give up something of personal value in order to take care of him properly.
If someone can afford to 'make payments' of $10, $20, or $50 a month, they could (should) have been doing that all along (into a special savings account)....so that the money would be there and waiting when needed for such things. If someone can't (or won't) do that, why should any DVM pay for the treatment out of his or her OWN pocket, then HOPE that the owner will make monthly payments to pay it back???

Feel the paw for a break. If you can confirm a break. Make a cast or splint yourself.
