By the time you notice symptoms...like bleeding from EVERYWHERE, it is too late. It causes the blood to NOT CLOT and they bleed out internally.
If you think the dog ate some...GET TO THE VET!

If you even suspect that your dog has eaten any amount of Decon, don't wait for symptoms!! Go to your vet immediately please!

If I had waited for symptoms when I thought my dog ate 17 Rimadyl chew tabs, she would have been dead before I knew anything was wrong.

If you even think for a moment that your dog ate some decon, you should have taken it to the vet right away instead of waiting for signs. Go! NOW!

DO NOT WAIT!! IF YOU THINK YOUR DOG MAY HAVE EATEN DCON, GO TO THE VET NOW!!! DCon works by stopping the formation of blood clotting factors, so by the time you see symptoms, which can be a day or two later, treatment is difficult, expensive, or impossible. Sometimes the bleeding is internal and the first sign is death. If you go now, though, all your vet will have to do is put the dog on vitamin K (which isn't available without a prescription, so don't waste your time going to the drugstore). Watch your dog's poop-- DCon is colored bright green, and if he ate it, his poop will be bright green, which will help you to know how much he ate. Be sure to take the DCon box when you go to the vet-- there are different kinds and he will need to know which kind your dog ate. Good Luck!!

If I'm not mistaken, Decon is rat poison? If so, call your vet immediately. It could be fatal before your dog ever shows symptoms.

I'm sorry to say this but last night my 2 month old Sharpe died from D Con poisoning. We had no idea that he had eaten any at all. after the fact we found a 4 ounce D Con box. If your not good at measuring that is a TINY amount. He died within 24 hours of eating that. but the Vet did say that he did not feal any pain. It was as if he went to sleep and didn't wake up! My heart is broken, but i though that this might help!
