She is 9 years old and is acting crazy like a puppy. She is an inside dog. In the morning it wake us up crying. Her bed is in the kitchen and we have a gate for her to stay there, she has been fine all this year until a few weeks ago when she started to cry all the time and breathing very hard, she has like anxiety atacks. The last 2 days she has been jumping over the gate. Yesterday I found out that she chewed part of the gate trying to get out. I do not understand what is going on.

I have run out of Metacam and one of my dogs has pulled a tendon, what (if any) human grade painkillers can I give him to tide him over?
He is an 80 kilo Neapolitan Mastiff.

I need to find out what will happen-if there are any signs that she is going into labour, if i should keep my other dog away(the father), how long until i can touch the puppies myself, how long the labour roughley take, what happens if she doesnt burst the sacs herself and what signs should i look out for if she is struggling? How can i make it more comfortable for her? Basically i need advice on start to finish, this is my first experience, and i think she may be close to giving birth as i can see and feel the puppies moving and she is quite big.

I have a 7 month old rat terrier and live in a cold climate. I have a yard for him but the weather is so cold I don't want to leave him outside in it all day while I am at work (about 7 hours). Also, he is chewing so I can't leave him in the house all day alone. Will he do OK in the kennel (7x7) in the garage or should I just leave him out in the yard all day?

Ive been trying to inhibit biting in my puppy but everytime I try methods I have read, it seems to make it worse. Plus, she seems to like me less now and pays less attention to me. I was thinking about taking her to a class but as to the other problem, do you think she wont like me as her owner? I'm a bit worried.

Hi,

I live in Norfolk, UK with my girlfriend and we have wanted to get a puppy for ages. We lived in a flat but have now moved to a house with a garden we decided that this is better for a pet.

Does anyone know where I could get a puppy? I can't afford to spend much and I like the idea of rehoming a puppy.

Thank you

My 1 year old dog who is pretty well trained is starting to have some bad behavior when we're not home. She is totally fine when we're around, but when we leave we gate her into the kitchen. Not only did she chew the (wooden) baby gate into splinters, she also will go after anything on the counters. She's pretty tall so even if we push anything all the way back she still finds something. I would love suggestions for a humane way to keep her off of the counter. Like I said, she knows it's worng as she'd never do it while me or my husband is around. I am afraid she'll choke or hurt herself...
thanks!

My poor 2yr old Golden, I assume has allergies since he's always chewing at his feet. Not all the time, but enough to notice a problem. Is there any homemade treatment I can do for him to relieve the itching. I don't think it's necessary to take him to a vet, because I only take him for really serious problems. He's a healthy happy dog despite this one problem.

He's old now, but he used to be a little darker. He's very muscular and, in fact, the vet once asked me what he was mixed with because of it. He's real mellow and, although he doesn't like to be picked up or held, he's always following me and laying right up against me. Here are some pictures:

He's on the left in these:

We thought we'd live here forever, so we buried our beloved dog on the property, behind the garage. Now we are moving. How do I respect the grave now that we will not live here anymore? All I can think of is what if the new owner's dig her up on accident, like, doing renovations or something? I told my husband I wanted to exhume her, and he said it was wierd and disrespectful and I couldn't, so then I said that I wanted some dirt off her grave to put in an urn in the new house, and he thinks that's wierd too, so what do I do? How do I deal with this? She's only been gone 2 years adn it still hurts too bad, I can't stand that her grave is going to be here where we can't even visit. What should I do? Do you think it's wierd to have dirt from her grave in an urn? what about exhuming her? My husband said that that is disrespectful to her, but how can she 'rest in peace' if she may be dug up during renovations by strangers? I don't know what to do, and I am so sad, please help!

I want a dog, i have an appointment now, tomorrow morning, to see some dogs, at a rescue shelter. Has anyone rescued a dog like this, i have told them, i want a quiet dog, who is good with children, will they be honest with me? I am sure they will, also, what age do dogs stop chewing furniture etc. I want a 2 or 3 yr old, i have already bought it some toys, and bones, is this a good age, to behave around the house, and not chew the kitchen...lol....,
i am excited about finding a loveable pooch, will an older dog be past the chewing stage, say 3yrs at the most? I want a walking companion, so it has to be fairly young and fit.

I have a 9 month female german shepherd. She is well natured, however sometimes (not all the time) she will go into an absolute frenzy when we meet other dogs on the street. She wears a halti, and has been taken to obedience classes with other dogs since she was 3 months old. When we see the dog, I tell her 'No' but she does not respond to her name or anything. She wriggles around, barks, trying to get at the other dog. She has pulled me over twice now and it's starting to hurt now!! My partner walks her also, she will bark with him but none of the lungeing etc.

Any advice?
