Adding honey to any recipe always helps, as it is a natural preservative..Honey is fine for dogs, as long as you don't overdo it..

I keep my dog treats in air tight containers and don't buy or make more than what my dogs will eat way before they could become moldy. Another thing I do is to buy a big bag of biscuits and put it in the freezer. It's hot where I live and it makes a nice treat even nicer.

Put them in a glass jar with a lid that twists on. If you want you can go to a pet store, they make special jars to put dog & cat treats in. :)

i don't know if it works for homemade dog biscuits, but i put a piece of bread in my cookiejar with fresh , homemade cookies to keep them from getting stale. works like a charm for cookies. (and they have about the same ingredients, too)

what about freezing them. We take those hoof you get from the pet store and fill them with stuff then freeze them. Or I buy soup bones and freeze them too. Lasts a long time.
