they can have allergies just like people. Sometimes it's seasonal and there isn't anything you can do, but get her a cortisone shot and antihistamine pills. You can talk to your vet about other treatments.

If she is allergic to something specific - like food or perfumes - then remove the allergen. Don't let her eat things she is allergic too, whatever. Talk to your vet. You treat allergies in dogs just like you do in people - find out what they are allergic to, remove the allergen if you can, if not, treat the symptoms.

The cheapest way is to have your vet run an allergy test so you can find out exactly what he is allergic to first. There are a lot of meds available for her, including otc human benadryl. What symptoms is she showing? Your dog can also get allergy shots once you know what she is allergic to.

The vet can run tests to determine what it is he may be allergic to. Have you noticed if it may be seasonal? If not, it is very common for dogs to have food allergies. Two of my 3 dogs have this. It was recommended to me to switch to a fish based food. Fish oil is excellent for their skin/coat. Mine are now on Nature's Recipe Fish and Potato. There are other brands out there as well, this is just the one I chose. I too had to constantly give my dogs pills when they had their breakouts. Since I have switched, no more breakouts!!!!! Good luck!
