How about naming him according to his personality? Like, if he is energetic you could try "zip" or something like that! We don't usually name new pets for a month or 2, calling the animal kitty, or puppy, until we get to observe his or her personality traits, and seeing what he/she responds to. Then simply call them by name, adding puppy/kitty after it, so that they get used to their "new" name *after having been called puppy or kitty for a little while. Eventually just drop the puppy, kitty part. Hope this helps.

You cant really name a sog untill you get it. See what it looks like and what name suits it and hay presto. You'll probibly go through loads untill you find the one that sticks.
I recently got another Bully puppy and was adamant I wanted to call him Logan but in the end he looked more like a Lemmy so thats what we called him (even though I call him scrppy coz he keeps beating up my 8 month old Bully).
I think Lilly is a nice name for a ***** or Rosie, depends on the breed to what names would suit them.

as a veterinary nurse i must have heard every name in the book so my advise would be not to name your puppy anything that you see here and think of a name that is totally origional. i have a golden retreiver puppy an i called her Orla coz it means golden princess in irish and everyone comments on what a nice name it is and how origional. try looking further afield for a really good memerable unique name. good luck !!

Go by his looks! Storm is a good name for a dog. Shadow is also a good name. We've just adopted a black lab called 'Rocky' I think that's a good name. Enjoy your dog and the love and company he will give you.

I loved the name of the police dog that was just recently murdered, along with his police officer/owner/partner, here in hell AKA: (Florida)
by that; Vicious, drug dealer, police murderer reject that they pulled out from under a tree and filled full of bullets... as all useless members of society and drug dealers should be!
Maybe a tribute is in order to these two heroes to immortalize them?
DOG! is a perfect name for a Dog!
D-o-g. Pronounced... Dee-o-gee.
