Do you know how much Shiba Inu's cost and how big they grow up to be where I could get one at and any other information on it? That would help a lot. Thanks.

Anyone over 20 should remember back when all we had for our childhood pets was Purina puppy chow or other cheap stuff. All our dogs lived & were healthy & happy. Why isn't it good enough for our dogs now?

OK, I really want a puppy, but my parents won't let me have one. I say all the time I'll take care of it, but they don't believe me, and they say it's too much work for them. How am I going to convince them??

I have a 12 month old Toy Poodle. In the past, she has thrown up some foamy, yellow, liquidy thing that smelled like pee (not sure if she drank her pee since she is a HOUSE dog and maybe I wasn`t really paying attention. I passed the problem as that). As I predicted it stopped just a few weeks ago... But then just this morning at about 2:48 am I woke up and I found that my dog had thrown up on my bed. LIKE EVERYWHERE. But this time the vomit was stinky like poop, the texture LOOKED (I didn`t want to touch it) squishy and gooey, and it was brown (leaving my dog`s breath incredibly horrid). After I changed sheets she vomitted again!! Now since that time at 2:48 I've been DANG WORRIED... Maybe she DID eat some of her poop and pee? Or was it something bad to begin wih and only got worse? Maybe she had ate something that she wasn't supposed to? Or maybe this is just a mild sickness? I can't go to Vet right now or tomorrow since it's closed for veterens day. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE!

My Yorkie sometimes poops blood and slime. I have taken him to the vet and he said to put him on lamb and rice food, he eats Science Diet lamb and rice. Last night I gave him one tiny cooked carrot left over from my dinner plate and he pooped blood and slime all night long. What causes this?

I think this is a silly habit for him. I tried recording the doorbell sound and play it back over and over, but he just keeps on barking at it. He even barks when he hears a doorbell ring on the television. In case you are wondering, my dog is a shelty and cocker spaniel mix and is 1 year old.

do Scottish Terriers usually run? NOT from a pet store or an irresponsible breeder. Im not looking for champion bloodlines or anything, just a family pet. Are they under 1,000?

thanks

Our new Boxer pup has tendencies to use the pads to pee and not to use them to poop. What's up with that? Can anyone spare an idea or two to help us out? Thanks!

I was eating some Halloween candy on the couch around 10PM last night (11/11) and one piece of a "Reese's Pieces" fell out of the small wrapper near the end of the couch. I decided to finish the two other pieces of candy in my hand before looking for it. At first I thought it fell under the cushion, so I got up and tried to lift the pillow. Surely enough, the little Reese's piece was on top of the pillow and my dog managed to grab it before I had any chance to stop him.

can anyone tell me the reason for having them tested for L2-HGA, Surely all dog`s are likely carrier`s of epilepsy. So therefore other dog`s should be tested.

I am looking for a dog breed that is good for hunting (mainly deer) and good with families. I have a young child and do not want an aggressive breed. I am a novice dog trainer and would like to try and do most of the training myself. I want a breed that can be trained to blood track and retreive. Does anyone know of any good breeds?

Sooo, um... my black lab that I rescued from starvation is apparently having some troubles with her legs. I had posted a question before and thought she possibly had mange, but no. It's hot spots... On her left back leg, it's a huge spot of fur missing and it's all irritated 'n stuff from her chewing on her feet. And on her right back leg, there's a round almost penny-sized irritaed spot... They're both all oily 'n secreting (sp?) nasty fluid... Ack... It was a couple nights ago, that I noticed all this, b/c her left back leg was swollen. Since then, the swelling has gone done and maybe even gone away completely... Yes, /I know/, I should bring her to the vet, unfortunately, we don't have money for a vet right now... At least she's better off now than she was at her previous owner's house. If she was still there, it wouldn't be taken care of at all, /and/ she'd still be starving....

Every morning between 4 and 5 AM, my Husky starts whining. I try to ignore her but the whines will continually get louder until she is yelping. I get up to let her out thinking she needs to go, but she only sits outside the door. She then will start "talking" like Huskies do but she has food and water. How can I train her to wait until the sun is atleast up before wanting out of her room? I would ignore her but I have kids.
