I was eating some Halloween candy on the couch around 10PM last night (11/11) and one piece of a "Reese's Pieces" fell out of the small wrapper near the end of the couch. I decided to finish the two other pieces of candy in my hand before looking for it. At first I thought it fell under the cushion, so I got up and tried to lift the pillow. Surely enough, the little Reese's piece was on top of the pillow and my dog managed to grab it before I had any chance to stop him.

Your dog will be fine. Lord knows my dogs have eaten bags of chocolate and whole boxes of oreo cookies over the years..they are still kickin'.

The most dangerous chocolate to dogs is bakers chocolate.

I assume you mean a peanut butter cup...Reese's pieces don't have chocolate. One small piece of milk chocolate won't do much damage to your dog, even if he/she is small. (You would probably have seen some symptoms by now ) It's the unsweetened baking chocolate that's a killer. Still, best not to give a dog any kind of chocolate on purpose, of course.

must be effective, yet i could seek for suggestion from a vet. It relies upon on the size of the dogs besides. F.e. previously I knew approximately this chocolate=poison situation, i could manage my dogs with some candy... not something occurred from 3-4 products, so i assume this is not THAT poisonous

He should be fine, you would be seeing symptoms by now if it was going to affect him. Dogs are like people, they all have diffrent tolerence levels. I have seen a german shepard die from eating a chocolate chip cookie, and I have seen a jack russell eat an entire box of godiva and it did not even slow him down a minute!

Unless he's somehow allergic to it (which is rare), he should be fine. There are a lot of dogs out there that eat chocolate and are perfectly fine. My dog used to beg for chocolate whenever I was eating any around her and I would give her a tiny bit and she was always fine.

I think your dog will be okay, but if your dog digests alot of chocolate as mine did (he ate a whole pan of chocolate chip cookies) the only thing the vet did was pour peroxide down his throat to make him sick.

Choclate is not good for dogs.If it wasn't a lot, and only once,it is probably ok,tell your vet,and just keep your eye on your dog.
