My son really wants a Mini Dachshund however I am not convinced of this choice. I'm sort of interested in a Mini Pinscher or a Jack Russell. Any suggestions or opinions are greatly appreciated. Happy Holidays!!!

I have a one yr old Labrador, she's not fixed, and I doubt if i'll ever breed her. I really don't care to or want to get her fixed. But if I do, does it modify their behaviour? Will she forever think i'm the evil cuss who had her cut and bury all clothes off the line in the garden and leave presents in my shoes??

She doesn't have fleas. We recently gave her a bath. Are shampoo allergies possible?

I have had her for about three weeks now and I have tried to spoil her but she still shys away from me. If I get down on her level then she will sit in my lap and let me pet her but she is absolutely scared of everything. She won't even go off the porch to use the bathroom unless I go into the yard with her. Does anyone have any tips I could use to maybe break her out of this?

I have a eight month old female french bull dog, and my girlfriend wants to move in with me (my apt is 700 sq feet). The problem is she has a 9 yr old female pittbull. Will these two dogs be able to get along in such small quarters. Both are spade if that makes a difference. The pitt is extremely close with my girlfriend and the french really is too. Craziest part is we have not been able to let these dog's meet due to her living in another state.

And please explain why. This is a serious question.
I plan on having my dog cryo-preserved (cryonics) when he dies someday. Even though I have had him for 2 years now (I adopted him and he is 13 years of age)I love him so much that. I also pay $26 a month for pet insurance.

She is a rhodesian ridgeback who I have noticed when she wakes up after napping on the couch there is urine spots. Also, I have noticed that tonight she was sitting next to me on the floor and as she walked away there was urine on the floor. She did not squat or anything, it's just like it comes out of her without her control. I am concerned since when I got her from the breeder she came with a broken tail from prior to birth. The mom had 8 puppies and the vet said she was probably squished and her tail got broke. My vet said she has feeling and all is ok with it but it is clearly shaped like and "L" at the end. I am wondering if something may have happened to her during birth. We have had a very difficult time housebreaking her although over the last 2 months it finally seems like she got it except for these unfortunate mishaps that she does not even seem to be aware of. Any suggestions? We will be making an appt with the vet in the next day or so.

What is up with this? Did they send a newsletter to each other or get together & decide to market their genetic junk on here recently? I have seen several the last few days saying things like 'buy an Affenpinscher/Brussels Griffon mix - I have had many people tell me they like mine' when someone asks about buying a dog - then click on their icon to see they are a 'breeder in Missisippi' of '"Teacup" poodles, yorkies, chihuahuas' + many other small breeds & mixes (DING-DING-DING! I smell a puppy mill) UGH! What can be done about this?

The child has slept on the couch and the next day he is sneezing, watery eyes and so forth. He has played with the dog and sits and plays on the couch without anything happening. Is there some kind of shampoo for the dog or shots or something that can be done so the three of them can stay together. (2 dogs; pugs) The dogs are 1 year and 1 1/2 years old. Please help! Is it the dogs? They are bathed weekly.
