Yes he works 40+ a week, but so do I...plus I do everything in the house..all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping. I'm so sick of bitching about it, and even more sick about all the half *** projects that he starts and never finishes! We have talked about it, and I hear the samething over and over.."tomorrow I will work on that!" I think that I'm going to scream! I have even tried to motavate him with rewards (I know it soulds like I'm treating him like a kid)...what can I do?? Is this just part of being married?

My family and I really want a golden retriever puppy or golden retriever mix. Not much luck finding one at the shelter because they are very popular and everyone wants them. We're looking to buy one and have him or her shipped to us and they are expensive! I've tried petfinder.com and various breeder's website but no luck.

any ideas?

We are looking for a cute small dog who is a good watchdog, that dosen't have long hair, or one that shed's alot.
We are looking for a dog in the class of toy, one of the smallest ones that isn't a chiwawa...
Fair price range, and not looking to buy one, just looking for breeds.
It's for my Aunt who is thinking of getting a dog.
If you could give me any more information on a breed of dog that matchs what I'm looking for that would realy help, thanks!

I'm a little aggitated. I read so many things, and hear so many people put so much emphasis on "blue nose" or "red nose." They are NOT rare, and this is only a color!!!

I once was told someone had a Hawaiin Pit Bull...What is that? A pit bull in a hula skirt? Sheesh!

I love her to bits so don't really want to take a risk. Are the risks high or do they generally breeze through pregnancy and delivery? When do you mate them?

This is actually an answer not a question. I asked my question 1 week ago and thanks to all who tried to answer. My dog was gagging as a result of tracheal inflammation due to abundant bacteria.(none of the bacteria is life threatening or contagious) I had more tests done and the test that helped to identify what was going on was the sample of the phlegm. She is now on correct antibiotic, My girl is the road to recovery and in two days doing great, almost back to her old self.

We have two one year old lab husky mixes. We would love to just let them play in our yard without a leash. Is there any solutions besides a shock collar?

The question says it all.

My mother hates animals, my boyfriend is neutral about animals, and none of my friends are crazy about animals actually when I think about it, they almost all dont have any pets...but when I talk to them I always end up bringing animal as a topic...I always learn fascinating things about animals and Im so excited to share them with the people I love but they get annoyed...

Millions of people have guard dogs! They are DOGS! They need to have a job, not just be leeches. For God's sake, people..do you not give your CHILDREN chores to do? Are they THAT spoiled rotten??? If you're going to be spending thousands a year on something, it should do more than just bark and lie around. I work very hard to keep our dogs healthy, well fed and fit, and clean, so why shouldn't there be some more of a payback than "their companionship"?? I already HAVE companions... my husband, my friends, my co-workers. In the wild, each dog has a place, and a job to do, whether it's guarding territory, raising young, or killing for food. So why is it that everyone babies dogs? They aren't MEANT to be spoiled, fattened up, lazy creatures that you all are making them to be. Dogs, by their nature, WANT to please, so give them something to do! And before anyone says I don't love dogs or whatever fallacies you may think of, that's totally untrue. I love ALL animals.

I have a 7 year old cockapoo. He bites under certain conditions: 1) when you try to take away an item he has that does not belong to him, 2) when you touch him when he is resting.
I have been to 2 behaviorists, a veterinary behaviorist, I watch dog whisperer, read books on aggression, tried prozac, absolutely everything! He bit my mother-in -law last week and we had to take her to the emergency room. I am so devastated at the thought of giviing him up! If I take him to a shelter, how likely will it be that they can place him, given his issues? Vets have told us that it is genetic and the ONLY thing we can do is avoid the triggers that make him bite.(Not always that easy). Last week's incident was the last straw. Does anybody know of anything we could do to get him to stop biting?? Any suggestions on how to find him another home? I love him to death and I am so distraught about this! Please-someone, HELP!!!!!!
