The question says it all.
My mother hates animals, my boyfriend is neutral about animals, and none of my friends are crazy about animals actually when I think about it, they almost all dont have any pets...but when I talk to them I always end up bringing animal as a topic...I always learn fascinating things about animals and Im so excited to share them with the people I love but they get annoyed...

well my mom criticizes me whenever i talk about animals...and its really hard because we are 2 in the house...
my friends dont really say anything mean when i talk about animals...but you know when people are not very enthuastic about something...and just totally dont care....
most of them just tell me that im crazy...about animals....

Honey I sympathize with you because it is the same with me! I love to talk about dogs; my dogs your dogs; dogs on the street, etc. I work in a dog grooming facility and I can even get on their nerves sometimes!

I understand :(, I work in a vet's office so it's pets all day long for me.. but there are very few people in my (outside of work) life that are as enthused as me. You sound like you might belong in the animal world (like me). I remember the first time i found a whole building full of people like me, it was when i did an internship at a wildlife facility. We were all discussing how wildlife releases make us so happy we cry. We all realized we were dorks but we were passionate about what we did and there's nothing wrong with that. :) If you volunteer at a shelter or even go hang at the dog park you would find animal people that will go on and on about their pets with you. Well I don't have any friends or family that don't like animals. In fact my family tolerates animals so much that on thanksgiving every year my dog gets to go with us and he gets his own plate. I think you should talk to your friends and tell them that you would appreciate it if they did get so uppset at you for talking about what you love though.

Aw! he's cute, has the seem of my late combination breed :] Uhmm..we specially get 'Aww, seem on the domestic dog!!' with our Shih Tzu yet I definitely have had people pass previous and say to their pal/relative 'Did you spot that canine? regarded like an Ewok' after which people evaluating him to a Gremlin xD - as long as they advise the Gizmo variety Gremlin i do no longer suggestions!! EDIT: relating to people conversing badly of specific breeds - i replace into sat with Rory, my Shih Tzu, on a bench the different day waiting for my family to do the buying. I know to shut up about dog agility and my fabulous, genius dog when I start to see my "non-dog" friends' eyes glaze over....ha ha. There's tons of other dog-crazy and pet-crazy people out there. Keep doing what you love and be passionate, and you'll find other people who love to talk about their pets!

No, all my friends really don't care much for aniamls but I do think they put up with me. We should talk sometime. I love talking animal style!

not really I do talk about pets sometimes but my friend is cat crazy and my other friend is dog crazy, so i don't get too many words in.
