I'm thinking of breeding one of my Chihuahuas (Either my Cream and white (possible merle genes) or a pure black) to have to joy of puppies in my life. Of course, I already have plans, and owners, plus plan to get them CKC registered too. I'm just wondering if there is any way (other then the gene tree thing I completely don't get after studying it for a while) or should I rely on what I know about both my girls littermates and parents?
My black one came from a huge litter of five puppies. She was the only black, a solid with white on her chest. She had one blonde sister and brother, that were her size (3.5 pounds at 4 months), a brother that was much bigger then her that was white with chocolate spots, and a tiny little brother that weighs in at half her size, that is a dark brown fading into black at the hair tips. Her mom was a black and tan, and her dad was a longhair blue. What a mix!
My other came from a litter of three. She was the only cream. Her two sisters were (continued..)
