How old is it? Until they are about 6 months old, Their ears are still forming, My Yorkie's ears went from flopping over, to standing up, to just one flopping over, and finally to standing up straight. If he is a baby then don't worry about it. If he's older, it might be an infection especially if he is trying to hold it back, that means it's hurting him.

No, they don't seem to be meant to be cropped. The ears are meant to be nevertheless they're---crossing 2 puppies with exceptional forms of ears method the puppy has an identical hazard of having both kind of ear. Cropping ears which are meant to hold down isn't a well concept for the puppy. It is senseless and is going towards the way in which her frame has been developed. If your larger part likes the prick ear appear, then he must appear for a Yorkie with that kind of ear.....he must no longer attempt to cosmetically re-make your candy puppy into the snapshot of what HE THINKS she must be, as a substitute than what she is. Hope that does not sound harsh. It sounds such as you adore her and I inspire you to keep on with your weapons. Good for you for taking her while your co-employee did not desire her anymore!

I own a a doberman pincher and one of his ears lays limp even though the other stands striaght up. I brought him to the vets thinking he had some thing wrong with his ear but the vet checked and there was no signs of infection or any thing. The vet explained to me that when dogs get oldier there muscles tend to relax and thus the drooping ear effect comes into play. My dog is 8 years old and his ear has been drooping for almost 6 years with no major problems besides the fact that he looks funny so I would'nt worry about it unless you want to go spend $300 on vet bills.
