Last night my four month old pup vomited dog food (looked like he ate to fast) and it was a little late at night so I put him to bed. I got up to feed everyone at about 2am and say that the newspaper had been stained with urine but also was reddish in color. He didn't want to eat so I took in to be with me he did however act happy and playful. He slept the rest of the night there no issues. This morning he ate some food and acts happy etc. My husband is out till tomorrow and I don't drive. So I can't get him into a vet till then. Any idea what is wrong with him? I would think the blood or reddish urine is not a normal thing then again he seems ok now. I am really upset so any help would be great till I can get him seen!

whether it is advisable to name your pets as the name of your friends daughter, son or other relatives? there must be a law for this .

checked for genetic problems, when they have puppies do the puppies also have to be tested? Or are they absolutly guaranteed to be genetically free of health problems because their parent had the tests?

6 months ago she fractured her back. She was treated with antibiotics for 5 1/2 months. We kept her confined and she seemed to improve. One month ago she started going downhill to the point where she could barely walk, was in obvious pain. We took her to the vet and he put her on a course of steroids, more antibiotics. We had decided against any surgery because there were no guarantees. Over the next few days, she got worse. It was terrible to watch. I took her to the vet hospital and they x-rayed her and did a blood test. The x-ray showed the infection around the fracture site was still there but the blood test came back normal--no infections. they gave me pain meds and a different antibiotic. She just did not improve. so, as a family we decided to have her put down. My husband took her to the vet hospital and after examining her refused our request-said there was nothing wrong with her. So, we have her at home and don't know what to do next.

I have a female border collie/lab mix five years old. Two or three times a year she scratches eyes causing hair loss, scabbing, and bleeding. I have to put a plastic cone on to prevent this. I never noticed any fleas and tried different foods, but nothing has changed. Any suggestions?

He hasnt had any bad experiences of being in or around cars but gets so scared and worked up when he is in one. I have tried putting him in the boot, in the front and in the back all to no avail. and dont suggest feeding him treats when in the car, he gets so stressed that he doent even want to eat.

I want to crate train my puppy so I can get him to not eliminate in the house. I know I need to crate him while I am at work, or if I leave the house, but shoud he go in the crate at night time? He has been waking me up at night when he as to go... is this a good sign, or should I still crate him?

What should I do about food and water, I read that he should only be fed 4 times daily, and after 6 months, 3 times.

Also how often should he go outside... 3-4 times daily?

He is a 10 week old, Papillon. Please help.. any advice on how to begin and follow through with this training would be a huge help.

He likes to playfully nip at your feet legs arms or butt. He is trying to get you to play when he does this(he gets walked twice a day). He is constantly wanting to play.

I going today to see my new puppy, he is still with his mother so I can't take him. I have not had a dog in a long time, the last dog I had was when I was probably 11 or so and I am now 23. My husband and I are getting a Maltipoo for my 16 month old. I have researched this dog to find they are smart and good with children. I just have never bought I dog before from a breeder we always had mutts when I was growing up and I just needed advice on what kind of questions I needed to ask. and what I needed to look for when I went to visit.

My puppy chews/eats every little piece of lint and paper she comes across. I left a roll of paper towels on the floor once, within 20 min, she had destoyed it. She is contantly finding pieces of lint and hair and whatever else and eating in. Why does she do this? Is it possible to get her to stop? More because I doubt it's good for her.
