Because it looks tasty... I do not know why puppies do this, but it is a common thing. My dog once ate an entire just opened box of Klennex. I mean, there was the box and him wagging his tail. Just try to keep it out of his reach. If he is a small dog, maybe the toys you have given him are too big. But all in all this is typical, and really will not hurt them. Just try to keep anything not puppy-proof out of his area of play so he cannot get into them. Good luck.

She may be lacking something in her diet. Get some doggy vitamins and see if that puts her 'back in balance'. Dogs and cats that eat strange things are often trying to compensate for a mineral or chemical imbalance that can easily be corrected with vitamins. If that doesn't work, then perhaps some more training on your part might be in order. Scold her for chewing up paper towels and the like. Don't say her name when you tell her 'no' because she may start to associate her name with the word 'no' and become a fraidy cat (or dog). Don't spank- that could affect her hips when she gets older i.e. arthritis.... but grab her and put her nose up to the mess she made and sternly say 'No'. She'll get the idea.
In any case, start with the vitamins and if that doesn't work consult your vet in a couple weeks for a follow up.
Good like and have a great day and say 'meow' to your puppy from my two cats Figaro and Rosina!!!

I unfortunately don't have an answer for you but I can sympathize with you completely. My puppy will mostly just shed every piece of paper she finds. I thought maybe, since my paper shredder is on the fritz, I ought to just give her all the bills I want to shred. The only thing is, I do not want to have to clean up the backyard. I am so tired of cleaning up the backyard. There was even a time she actually did get hold of some homework my daughter had and it really was a case of "my dog ate my homework". I am sure the teachers were like "yeah, right".
The dog trainer I brought Isabelle to said to distract her with a toy/treat every time she does it. Do not clean the mess up in front of her but wait until she is not around. Well, none of these worked for me yet. I guess my only option is to wait it out.

There are several reasons why puppies do this and in many cases, it can be all.
Since puppies are constantly growing, their teeth develop too, and such as with babies, their mouth itches. The chewing helps the itching.
Puppies are just playfull things, they will play and they also get frustrated. I remember when we used to leave to go out, my dog would chew the corner of the stairs, because he didn't want us to leave and would get frustrated being left behind, so he would chew to get the angst out of his system.
The best remedy to this is to get your dog a chew toy. Either a stuffed animal or rawhide bones small enough for your dog. They enjoy those alot.
The other solution would be to train them not to chew. That takes alot of patience with the puppy.
Good luck.

I dont understand what the call of it may be on the shop, yet youre conversing with reference to the rest room paper that they use in public places, like walmart, or a restaraunt. Its stiffer and lint loose. i think of they have some like that on the food market, yet uncertain what type it may be. i understand what ya propose with reference to the lint, it is loopy.

that's a dog for ya. they're always eating things they shouldn't. just don't make a huge deal about it if she eats something, and eventually she will learn that eating weird things is not a way to get attention...she will stop seeing you as the person who "takes away" what she wants, and will start seeing you as the person who "gives" what she wants.
