My dachshund is 17 months old and has suddendly started peeing in the house. This isn't good. I did change her food recently, I don't know if that would have any thing to do with it. We also thought she recently was pregnant so we were at the vet for that NEGATIVE. Thank God!

I have a PetSafe underground fence and it is broke somewhere.. the problem is I don't know where it's broke and for someone to come out from PetSafe is very expensive. I heard a transistor radio could do the trick. Does anyone know a definite way to find the break?

Alright I have 5 month old 3/4 Akita, 1/8 chow, 1/8 German Shepard that I adopted from the pound, 3 weeks ago. He is a super sweet, very mellow dog. I run him in the mornings & kennel him while I go to work. And let him out the second I get home. From there we do errands & such together. Well He has now had 3 accidents since I got him. The last 2 times were when I got home & Took a bath (he had been let out!) I shut the door & he start crying I told him to go he left. When I got out he had left me presents. This happened twice so now I put him in his kennel when I take a bath. At night he sleeps right next to my bed. I really would rather not kennel him since he has to be in a kennel all day! Well last night 1/2 hour after I went to sleep he got up on my bed & peed all over it w/me IN IT. And he had just gone out to the bathroom 1 hour before it happened!!! I don't want to keep him in a kennel all day long!! But I can't have him doing this either any suggestions?

I am a stay at home mom with a 16 month old little girl. I miss having a dog terriably ( had pregnancy problems so dog went to go live with mom, and both dog and mom are very attached now). We have a yard and I have plenty of time to train the dog. The thing is I will be going back to work someday(probably within the next year) and I am nervous about leaving a dog alone during the day. I would most likely work part-time, but I am not sure. We are home bodies so spend most of our time at home on weekends and go to the country each Sunday for the day. Any advice?

I have a currently have a 3 y/o female Papillon and am looking for a reputable breeder in the Southern Illinois/Missouri/Indiana area. I am looking for a pet only. Willing to enter into spay/neuter contract. I am looking for a breeder that tends towards the smaller size as my dog now is only 5.5lbs. Looking for REPUTABLE breeders only willing to place a non-show quality puppy at a reasonable price with a loving family that will shower him/her with love and attention.

My dog is fairly trained, he is just over a year old. Mom's dog is 9 months and not nearly as trained as mine. I will be moving out of province with both animals and will need to walk both dogs at once. Together both dogs are extremely excitable and love going for walks, mom's dog especially is very strong. I have attempted to walk both on separate leashes and ended up tangled and on the ground. Do the "Y" leashes work and are they strong enough for 2 large, strong male golden retrievers?

My 6 yr. old has been begging for a dog for as long as I can remember. She is addicted to Animal Planet and loves The show Animal Miracles. She wants a dog to be her best friend and by her side at all times(doesn't everyone). We live in a house and have a small fenced in backyard. A small to medium size dog would be the best for us. Do yall have any suggestions?

She is half cocker Spaniel and half Sheltie I guess you could call her a Cockertie. She is fairly small and got pregnant by her brother.

We got a tiny puppy (shih tzu-lhaso apso mix) last night that is seven weeks old. He cries, howls and whimpers when he is left alone and wants to be with us all the time. We let him in the bed last night but he was very restless and began to play several times. My husband is afraid we will accidentally roll over on him (he's only about a pound and a half) while we are sleeping. Anybody have any suggestions that has dealt with this before?

I wanted to switch my dog to Canidae or Innova.

I know that petsmart, petco and the like don't carry it, but I thought maybe they might carry it online. No such luck, of course.

But what I did find is that if you type in Canidae or Innova into their search engine, blue buffalo comes up.

Either they think that the 3 types of dog food are very similar or it's their own brand of dog food that they're trying to peddle.

Anybody know the difference? The blue buffalo is about 5 dollars cheaper so if it's just as good I will try that first, but if not, Canidae it is.

She's on Purina One right now. Total crap food, although not as bad as say Ol' Roy.

My 15 yr old daoughter and 9 yr old son had a shitzu years ago and I wound up giving him away because we were never home. I NEVER heard the end of it form the kids. now 4 yrs later we are in our own home with a big yard and I ran across and add for a miniature schnauzer already housebroken(11 mo old) I told myself I would never own an inside dog again because I was the one to take care of it. But, the kids are older now and promise tey will do all the work.We are very busy with school, sports activities(this is why the other fam. is getting rid of him) So, I am hoping I havent made a big mistake.
Oh yeah what really worries me is that I have a real pistol pete 3-1/2 yr old that may worry the mess out of the dog which in return will stress me-but, he loves dogs and it may be good for him to have a companion like this loving schnauzer- I go get the dog this weekend so I still have time to change my mind- My husband thinks I am crazy and adding more stress. Truthfuly I'm kinda excited

I have just moved to Germany from the US and was very active in showing my Norwegian Lundehunds there but I can't seem to find any information on how to get them started showing here? They are FCI qualified (markings/colors/etc) and I know others that show overseas with thier dogs. Is there a place to go to find out how to start?
