My dachshund is 17 months old and has suddendly started peeing in the house. This isn't good. I did change her food recently, I don't know if that would have any thing to do with it. We also thought she recently was pregnant so we were at the vet for that NEGATIVE. Thank God!

First, you must get rid of the urine smell because they will keep going in the same place. Natures Miracle is a good product to neutralize the odor.

I don't believe changing food would have anything to do with urinating. It might change their bowel movements though.

It sounds like something behavioral. Anything at all in your house different? You're going to have to retrain her to start urinating outside, just like you did when she was a puppy. But think of what is different in your home, that may be the answer.

For canines over the age of 10 years previous, it is an exceptionally difficulty-loose subject. There interior organs have become very previous, and that they are in basic terms no longer able to hold their bladder anymore :( The vet has drugs which could help with bladder administration, yet they have been oftentimes happening to placed on off with time. as properly is could be quite a few countless infections. i might call/take your canines to the vet just to take particular your canines would not have something greater severe. different than that, i might propose removing your canines greater often and being very affected person with him. solid luck :)

I'm not trying to be rude but if he keeps peeing in the same spot, maybe she can smell the old pee! Have you heard of Pine Sole?

You might consider having her checked to make sure she doesn't have anything like a kidney or bladder infection. If she was fully potty trained, this is more likely the source of your problem.

Do you live in Australia? Our dog used to do that last spring. Then an acquaintance told us that they do that when it is the season for them to mate. Be patient, it will pass by itself after a while.

She is apparently the dominant one in the house. She is markingn her territory so you will know it is HER house. You need to call the dog whisperer.
