How can I tell where my underground dog fence is broke?

I have a PetSafe underground fence and it is broke somewhere.. the problem is I don't know where it's broke and for someone to come out from PetSafe is very expensive. I heard a transistor radio could do the trick. Does anyone know a definite way to find the break?

I know it's broken because all dog fences beep loudly when there is a break.

put a choke coil on the transmitter and walk the line with the radio. this work with the old modle anyway

How do you know it is broken if you don't know where?
