This is what I have learned over the years about dogs and names for them.
Its questionable but dogs have enough memory to learn 44 words and or syllables. Some dogs seem like they learn more and some learn less.
When you name your dog use a one syllable name that stands out, don't use common words so that when you are out in public they will get confused if some one uses that word around them.
I always get the dog and spend some time around it and the name will just come to me after I get to know them.
Take your time and good luck, its a name you will use all the time and its the only name the dog will most likely have so make it a good one.

I just got a red staffy, she's called Ruby.
Best thing to do is to go with colours if you're really stuck for names.
If not, try something like an online baby name site.

Make sure it's a name you won't be too embarrassed to shout in the park!! Staffies usually end up with butch names like 'Tyson', which is a shame considering they are usually real softies!

Ouch that must hurt, you should go in the book of world records first person to give birth to a dog, he he.
umm you want to call him something different something not everyone else is going to use, I like Leo, or spirit. I have heard a few food names such as pancake or muffin.

I called mine Bentley
I wanted to call him Lexx at first though.
