My dog loves people but she doesn't like to be around other dogs! Whenever we put her next to a dog she's doesn't want to look at it or starts barking. What can I do to make her feel comfortable?

I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice. All your answers are appreciated.

This is a very difficult time for me.Rock and Kayla have been my 2 best friends for 10 years.Rock has saved my live on 2 occasions (one time was a house fire that I all but slept through) and Kayla, well she holds my heart.One time I was outside doing yard work and I went into a diabetic comma and she remained by my side until help came. Since then whenever I am outside she will not leave my side.I feel we have been through a lot together.Rock has undergone many hard times.He was not supposed to live past 6 months of age.Rock was originally bought by a RCMP officer but wouldn't take him because of health.He was to have been put to sleep at 8 weeks of age. I couldn't allow that.That's how I ended up with him when I only bought his sister.They have been my friends and protectors.I keep hearing this voice saying, so this is how it ends... and I am torn.Again thank you for your advice. it means alot.

Does anyone know where on line I can find a lab puppy? I been searching for one and can't find any. I want to get one for my sons birthday. He is an animal lover and he's been wanting a lab!

Please this is serious, no yes or no answers, I need details. My American Pit Bull Terrier may have ruptured her Cranial Cruciate Ligament in her stifle. I've been to the vet, getting X-rays tuesday, they have to sedate her to relax her enough to perform the required tests. Has anyone had this surgery performed on their dog over 30 pounds, what did the surgery cost and what was the outcome? i.e. recovery, return to normal etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

but for all our putting him outside he will run back inside to pee...it's like he has the message mixed up. I am at a loss, I have never had a dog do this before. He's a mixed breed about 8 to 10 weeks old, we were told his mother was a pure bred kelpie, I think his father is probably a pit bull. PLEASE HELP......

my best bud has seems to be having trouble with his skin. he's getting older (8) but has always been active and well fed. he is healthy (we've been to our vet just a couple of weeks ago), always been fed human-grade food, receives tons of attention (but not spoiled), and we generally do our research when a problem does arise.

That said, this is the first time i've asked a question, and I'm just wondering if there is something simple that i can add to his food to help his dry skin ( olive oil, sardines...etc). maybe there is something we had not thought of before...

note: his fur is shiny, it seems to be mainly his skin...no fleas, no current meds, no allergies that we are aware of.

it could just be the dry summer air...

She's scared of the dark, so obviously I wouldn't put her like in the garage or something. But is it bad to stick them like under a table or behind a couch...or in the tub? Like in a confining space? I don't want to mentally mess up my dog...
