Personally, I would never buy a dog over the internet. You need to see a puppy to judge it's health, personality, etc. to see if it is a good fit for your son.
Check with vets in your area to see if they can refer you to someone, or check in the newspaper. Find someplace local and be informed about the breed (if you aren't already) before getting a puppy.
...it has been shown by several animal behaviorists that this is what is best for the puppy. They should stay within their litter situation until they are 49 days of age and then immediately go to their new homes. Through seven weeks of age, the pups are still gaining from the interaction with their mother and littermates. This will help the puppy later in life.

Do NOT get a Chocolate Lab. Trust me, this is a dog that desperately needs three years in order to have more than one brain cell in use at any given moment.
Black Labs are fine, usually, as are Yellow labs, but unless you're experienced...do not get a Chocolate Lab.
I'm pretty experienced with dogs, but I had to resort to a shock collar on a chocolate lab to get it to stop body slamming a glass patio door...and it took 2 weeks and I had it on the highest setting.
The dog also didn't know his name at 8 months old, and house training was not something he did well. I did however get him to answer to "stupid dog", but that was probably because I repeated it to him 100 times a day.

Never get a dog online!!! Gosh, in my local paper there are AT LEAST 6 ads for Labs every day. I can't imagine you have to look that hard.

go to PetFinder.com, your local shelter, SPCA or Humane Society. there is likely a labrador rescue in your area, also.
and please don't buy a dog just because you "want" one. shelters and rescues are full of dogs who are no longer wanted. people give lame reasons all the time, and the truth is - they didn't do their research.
this is a "lifelong" commitment that could last for the next twenty years, entail thousands of dollars in both unforseen and planned expenses.
and remember, just because your son "wants" it doesn't mean he's capable of "taking care of it".
please don't get a dog unless you are willing to take on the responsibility yourself.
