Huh? You gave the dog away. You have no say over what the new owner does. Why is it o.k. that you gave the dog away, but not that they did? Did you have a written agreement that they would offer you the dog before they gave it to anyone else?

But I wouldn't give my dog away in the first place.

If the new owners are treating the dog good, I'd just accept it. If they aren't though, get him/her back. If they refuse, call the Animal Control office, and tell them about what's wrong with the dog's current situation, like he doesn't have proper shelter and is being kept outside all day, is not being fed properly, is allowed to roam free, etc. Stick to only the facts though. You can contact the person you sold the dog to and ask why they sold the dog though. I mean, why would they get the dog in the first place if they couldn't keep him/her...unless they were just doing it to get money from the sale...I'm not saying that's what they did, though, just that it happens.

I'd be hurt but face it there isn't much you can do about it, you gave the dog away, if the new owner couldn't take care of or didn't want the dog then I guess they have every right to give it away (though they should've asked you if you wanted the dog back first)

Don't feel bad, I gave a wife away once and after 2 weeks the guy gave her back. I never could figure out why he waited so long to return her.

Accept it. I'd be hurt; I might not talk to that person for a while. Later I might talk with the person about it, but, in the end, I must accept it and hope the new owner is good.

As long as it is i n the dog's best interest - don't be too upset. Sometimes things happen, just make the dog is living the high life.
