First, I'd probably be very sad, then i'd put posters around the neighborhood with pictures of my dog, and put the posters in local vets offices too. Put an ad in the newspaper and hope for the best. I'd check with the pound and ASPCA. If nothing worked, in a week or 2 I'd get a new dog. My friend did that, and the day they got their new dog at the Pound someone returned their lost dog, so now they have 2.

Assuming that this is unusual behavior for said dogs I would prepare for an earthquake. If it is usual behavior for said dogs that means it happens all the time which means they come home when they get hungry.
Earthquakes and other natural distasters (the tsunami) are known to be preceeded by unusual behavior in animals, such as running away. The more primitive people in the neighborhood of the famous tsunami were saved by being in tune with the behavior of the local animals and leaving for high ground when the animals did.

Make sure they are chipped and have a tag with address and phone number of owner.

Make sure the yard is fenced and be careful when going in and out the door so they don't slip by.

And get them some training so they will come when called.

I have three.........for one of them, I would wave bye-bye!! (I hate to say that , but it is true, I think) NO! NO! NO! Knowing me, that is what I would want to do, but I would feel compelled to go and look for him. I would not put out any flyers or anything.

For the other two, I would definitely go and look for them and would pray that I find them. For my 3 year old pitbull, I would put out posters with his picture, and maybe a reward, he is my main baby and he is beautiful. He is well worth looking for.

No of them should be trying to run away from here. If they ran away from here or me, then they don't want to be kept. They have a good life here. It is always possible for them to get out by mistake but I would go for them.

Put up posters with pictures and descriptions and information and a reward and call the local pound and tell them your dogs are missing so if they find them, they'll contact you.

My dog actually ran away. We posted an ad in the paper, we put up posters, put fliers in mailboxes...we were lucky to get her back.

If you could spell right you could make posters, or take an ad out in the local paper.

question is why are they running away. take them to a trainer because they will train you and your dogs to understand each other.
