I cannot believe the stupidity on these boards lol. If you had blood in YOUR urine would you be stupid enough to come on here and ask about it or would you seek medical attention? The poor dog could have a sever kidney or bladder infection or worse. And geez, did you ever think the poor animal might be feel ill and be suffering and in pain? You don't even deserve to be a dog owner frankly.

Infection??? If it is blood - he could have a urinary tract infection - if it is just dark, it means he is dehydrated.

You should call a vet - they may only want you to run a urine sample in so they can test it...but I would do something tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest if it is blood. He should be examined soon.

Usually when a dog has blood in the urine - you will know for sure...it is usually pretty red.

The "scrunchy" will more affect his bowels - i.e. irritate his intestines = diarrhea or blockage (can cause damage) - I would ask the vet about that too!

take your dog to the vet.. not only does he probably have a urinary tract infection, but he may also get "plugged up" in his digestive tract from eating the scrunchy!! my parent's dog ate some cloth when he was a puppy and ended up with stuff coming out both ends... if your dog gets a blockage, get ready to clean up a BIG mess!!! dont let your dog have access to things that will be tempting for him to eat!!!

It is probably a urinary tract infection. He is young though, so it could be something more serious. I would go to a vet the first chance you get and have a urinalysis done. Good Luck!

That in fact it is urgent!!!!!!!!!!!! take him to the vets instead of seeing whatever one has to say about it and you should think about leaving him there because if you need advice about that then maybe you don't need a dog/puppy!
