Dogs - July 2006

my question is, I live in NY and wondering if the temperature is condusive to have that kind of dog? They're beautiful and I really want one!!

Hello and thank you for viewing my question!

Soon, I am getting a puppy (a maltese/yorkie mix) that is the same breed as my current dog (she will be a year in August). Can I feed them the same food (Eukanuba puppy, small breed), or will I have to feed them seperately? I plan on doing this until the new puppy is a year, and then switch to Eukanuba Small breed adult.

have a 16 yo dog with Cushing Disease being treated for 2 years, recently had vomiting, lose of appetite, lethargic, distended abdm. blood work show liver values at 1600, on atibiotics for 3 days receivd iv fluids and is feeling great. Vet is not sure what happened to cause this, ultrasound showed enlarged liver, gall bladder, diet has been vension/potatoe for years?

we have a 6 yr old Basset Hound and lately he has been very mean! I was laying on my bed and he acted like he wanted me to pet him but he just attacked me! also if I bump his hips he attacks! is it just cuz hes old! also we have to find a good home! any advice?

I have a new puppy and I would like to begin training him as a watch dog. I want to train him in German. Is there anyone that can give me the pronunctiation of the words I need? I wanna teach him to sit, stay, attack, heel, play, rollover,Jump, Beg, Wait., Play Dead as well as my being able to say Good Girl and Bad Girl in german.

Any Help from anybody would be appreciated.

We just bought a new Boxer Puppy-female. We love her to death but her training isn't going so great. She just turned 2 months old on the 19th so I know she is young...but very smart. We are having problems with her thinking that we are her chew toys. I have tons of toys for her and when she bites me I tell her no and give her a toy, tried the flicking of the nose--she thinks I am playing with her and does the biting more, and tried the thumb under her toungue thing........nothing is working. ANY help with this problem and any other training for Boxers I would so appreciate!!!
