She has problems with her joints and it is raining outside today. She has just followed me from room to room lying down in every room I stop in, this is not her normal behavior as being a typical Rottweiler she is very independant.
She has recently recovered from an Addisonian Crisis (Addison's Disease) that made her very sick and during her recovery she started following me around. I have not seen this behavior again until today with the weather,.....
Has anyone else experienced this with a sick dog?

I have a 2 month old Chihuahua. I have had her for about 2 weeks, and just yesterday I bought a leash and a collar. They are both meant for toy breeds and fit her well.

I put the collar on today in the morning, but she didn't like it. She tried to scratch it off. When I connected the leash to the collar, she started to bite the leash. I tried to keep it away from her mouth, and tried walking with her, but she just sat there.

What can I do to make her feel comfortable with the collar and leash? How tight should I keep the collar (I am currently leaving two fingers worth of "loosness")? What else should I do regarding this problem?

I'm wondering if there are any websites that can offer pet medications for cheaper than it would cost to purchase them at the vet.

She's a lab/dachshund mix -- about 30 lbs and dark brown. What's a good name for her? See picture below.

The dogs wail and cry. They release hormones of fear and pain that allegedly make the meat taste better. What do you think of this practice?

My groomer says that before she will groom my toy poodle again I will have to get her sedatives. The groomer says that the dog is so small and sensitive about anybody touching her legs and feet that she is afraid the dog will hurt herself or even break a leg by pulling so hard when they groom her legs. I was told by a neighbor that her vet said to give her dog benadryl on fourth of july because he is so scared of fireworks. Could I just use benadryl since I really can't afford to go to the vets for such an issue or is there any other household remedies?

I used to own a golden retriever and THEY are on the f*cking list for the breed specific legislation that was passed.

WTF?
Golden Retrievers along with MANY other breeds on that list...are the SWEETEST animals to walk the earth.

All dogs can be taught to be good, with the correct owners.

it's the OWNERS fault if something goes wrong ... NOT THE ENTIRE BREED!

ugh. I'm sick to my stomach over this right now

My dog killed a possum last night. THere was no blood, but he probably did puncture him. I didn't realize he was stalking anything because he looked like he was just sitting there looking.

Besides taking her for walks what are ways to get her to loose 10 to 15 pounds? And she is naughty and dosen't eat her food (well sometimes) but she eats the cats food and picks in the garbage.
i don't want to move the cats food because they are 16 or 17 years old and they could hurt them selves if they jump too high. and we can't move the garbage cause we have a special spot under the counter.
PLEESE HELP!
