I don't know if I would go so far to say it was so mean......however, why do it? It is only giving your dog a "thought in his head" that he may,one day, be getting some of that stuff that you are blowing in his face. It is best to just let him enjoy his dog food and not worry about giving or even blowing, human food! :) Good luck! I am sure you are a good dog owner and love your dog so enjoy him!!!

Yes, I think it is mean because you are teasing the dog by enticing him and then not giving him any. I wouldn't be surprised if he snapped at your face for that. Giving your dog a little bite of your food is not going hurt him as long as it something good for him like a piece of chicken or other meat. I have had dogs all of my life and they all have lived long happy lives. The two labs that I have now are well tempered and very healthy and they once and awhile get a litlle human food. But, I do think it is mean to eat the food and then blow into the dog's face. Why would you do that to your dog if you love him?

It is kind of wrong to tease the dog this way. How would you like if someone ate a Sundae and then blew in your face and didn't ever give you any?

Not really the dog can smell the food from you plate anyways, but try to do it as infrequent as possible to deter any guilt.

ask your husband to eat your favorite food in front of you when you are hungry and "blow" it in your face. I feel sure your question will be answered

of course it's mean. you know it's mean. it's teasing. it's not physically mean but on a lesser level it's still cruel and you know it. c'mon admit it! you know you do it to tease him and pull a bit of a power play by not giving him any. would you do that to a kid? well, maybe you would. your husband should give you a damn good spanking! :)))
