If you want to teach your dog something like speak, or sneeze on command, simply reward your dog when they do. I did this when my dog drank. When she did i'd say "Daisy drink" and when she finnished I'd pet her and tell her "good dog, good job". Now even when she isn't thirsty, she will lap up a little bit of water if i say "daisy drink". This really works. I haven't done speak, because she doesn't bark much anyway. I have been trying to teach her sneeze, and my grandmas dog could(the dog died, so i am using past tense on purpose), but I'm hardly ever there when she sneezes, so it is taking longer.

get your dog excited by holding a toy on the ground and moving it around as you say speak. If the dog gets excited enough he will bark at which time yu will praise and give the toy to the dog. Keep repeating till dog learns command SPEAK = barking

If he naturally barks, just give him a treat and say "speak" when he barks.

It also helped with my dog to hold the treat over his head so he couldn't reach it, and "bark" with him to get the connection of the word "speak" and barking.

You tease it with the treat and a saying like good girl/boy.
