Please support PETA and boycott all IAMS and Eukanuba brand pet products for the atrocities they are performing on animals every day.

My female Border Collie watches TV on occasion. Not like ...ER.. or the News... etc... something has to strike her Fancy,, ) by the way her name is Fancy!) Tonight it was MeerCat Mansion! I was flipping thru the channels and she was off doing her own thing,, when I hit upon this Animal Planet Channel with the Meer cats and she went Balistic!! Mostly it is with animals that her attention tunes into, but sometimes it;s with things like Sports! Hubby is a huge Sox& Bears fan and I am a Cardinals& Bears fan so we enjoy our sports( depends on where you were raised I guess as to what type fan you are) But it so hillarious to see this BC go off at the TV!!
Hubby does not get it! I say it is because she is a smarter type breed and picks up on not only the animal shows but what excites us. Do you agree or do you think some breeds or some dogs have their own likes and dislikes of programming? Or s it just the noise that attracts them?

I've currently got a wonderful adopted German Shepherd named Aurora, who's about a year old and 70 lbs. Her favorite (and only) playmate is a little two pound dog named Honey. They play together well, and while they can get rough sometimes, they always work it out. The owner of the little dog may need to find a new home for the puppy, and I volunteered to take it. I'm just worried about owning big dog and a small dog. Does anyone own dogs with such a big size difference, and how did it work out?
Thanks for your advice!

I found what I thought was a very small tick under my dog’s skin on her belly; there were 4 similar looking abrasions of different sizes. When I pulled the black speck out with tweezers it mashed into a goo. Was this a flea?

Just need to know how to get him to be not so aggressive. My one dog is old and not able to fight back. The younger one is just tearing into him.. Any advice would be great.

I mean never owned a dog, never grew up with a dog really. I'm planning on getting a rescue from a shelter, so it'll probably be a mix, but are there any breeds that are better, any that I should avoid?

My dogs follow me (annoyingly so) around the house after I give them a bone every night. It's like they are expecting me to give them another one. Do they remember things?

I adopted a rott puppy from a woman who was going to take the whole litter to the pound! Anyways, I have had her for about 4 months and she will not housebreak! I've tried every mehtod I could possibly think of. I tried cages, putting her in the bathroom for about 10 min, and everything else I could think of!
And to top it off, if she can get into our bedroom she'll poo in there before she'll poo anywhere else! I don't understand it! I love this dog and I want to keep her, but I am about to have a kid and I can't have her pooping in the baby's room or having my daughter crawling around on a floor the dog pooped on!
Someone please help me!
Oh and she is very well trained in every other area! The only problem I have is the housebreaking!

are there litter and litter boxes(bathroom box) for dogs? if so, how long does it take to train? it would be a nice substitute for dog walking( bathroom purposes).

i currently owned a cat and am pleased with their bathroom savvyness. i might wanna hold off on considering a dog if they can't do this and i have to pick up after them all the time.

When I walk down the road with my new puppy ON HER LEASH, my next door neighbor's pitbull (mean dogs aren't born, they're made) runs over and tries to bite her! There's a leash law in my area, but I don't want the dog to get taken to the pound...just to not be allowed to run around! The owners are SO negligent! What can I do in this situation? I feel bad for both animals!

I'm guilty of this..LOL But I think it's great for them and I don't feel as bad if I have a lot of things to do because, I know they all keep each other company. By the way I have 3.
