What is your lab doing? Add this detail and I will get back to you as we have a lab.
**ADDED DETAIL REPLY: Try Innova Evo- hi-protien/low carb-no grain dry dog food. It is a little spendy and you get it at pet food stores, but our lab. was scratching and biting at herself constantly. Within a week the scratching subsided and it is rare that we ever see her scratch anymore. We tried different dog food that had grain in it just to see if the scratching would return and within a day it started up again. We had tried the duck and potato, but she still had the same problems. We swear by it! Buy a small bag just to try out for a week and see how your lab reacts. Good Luck! **************** OH, and by the way.......I would try this first before giving the dog Benedryl. Why drug him if you don't need to????

If that diet doesn't work, most likely no diet will help..
But, you can make a soothing, healing ointment by mixing douche powder with white Vaseline to make a paste to apply to raw , itchy areas.

My Friend's dog did well with a capsule of kelp added to each feeding (2 caps per day) Her dog was a Lab.

Your dog can take Benedryl, up to 3 capsules every 4-6 hours. Start with one.

Try Dinovite®

Also...take your lab to a certified vet to verify that it is indeed an allergy before doeing him yourself..:)

Yeah, a veterinarian. If you're constantly suffering from poor health wouldn't you go to a doctor?

you can give him some children's benadryl. Just cut the dose down for what you would give a baby.
