Your vet can give you this answer. You should be feeding food per the calories in it. To find out the calories in the food you are using contact the maker of the food.

i have 2 large mastiffs, and they eat about 3 cups of dry with a tunafish size can of wet food twice a day. They however have a slow metabolism (Neo Mastiff's) I also have a Weimaraner, who eats 4 cups of dry and 1 small can- she is a huge runner and never sits still. She is really thin and trim, and they are on the chubby side.

It is a good idea to look at the back of the bag of dog food you buy. It usually goes by the current weight of the dog, or if it is puppy food it will go by the full grown weight. If you get a good quality food they will usually require a lesser amount of food, and their BM's will be smaller.

My dane ate about a 20lb bag ina week to a week and a half. Not nearly as much as you would expect. Never, never give table scraps to your dog. They are not garbage disposals! Danes have very sensitive digestive systems, and belive me a dane with gas will run you out of your house!!!!!LOL

Refer to your vet, but plan on several cups of dry food a day, plus you may wish to supplement with a wet..... My 90 lb dog goes through about 5-6 cups a day...
