Can dogs take this antibiotic and if they can what is it used for and what is the dose for dogs?

macrodantin is used for bladder and urinary tract infections in people, do not give 2 your dog. amoxicillan or penicillan can be used on dogs but u need 2 go 2 the vet 2 get antibiotics if ur dog needs them.

It's never a good idea to give people antibiotics to dogs. The wrong dose or drug can KILL them. Even if the antibiotic is given to dogs (and I don't think it is) the formulation and strength may be radically different. See your vet if you think your dog needs antibiotics.

ALWAYS check with your vet before giving unprescribed medication to your pet. Many meds that are tolerated by the human body can be extremely toxic to dogs or cats.

if your dog has an infection, it would be prudent to see a vet and administer antibiotics which have been prescribed for that purpose.
never give any medication to your pet without your vet's advice!
