He is over a year old and I was thinking about breeding him and taking pick of the litter but then I was wondering if I could pick a female and wait until her second heat and then breed those two. I've heard it can cause problems but I wasn't sure. I haven't even bred him yet so I have some time to think about it.

I'm moving to a different state (from Florida to Hawaii) and I can't afford to take my dog with me (a little short on cash). My parents won't let me take him since they don't really have the money to. I am traveling on airplane. He is my first dog and means a lot to me. I would hate to put him to sleep or to leave him. I understand there is some organization to help raise money or to help people with these types of situations. Does anyone know any organizations or groups?

My dog was playing outside and jumped up at the fence and pulled the nail on her right front paw, the thumb nail. She didn't brake it or crack it or anything but i hurt her. She's licked it a lot and it has gotten pretty swollen. What can i give her to make the swelling go down? She is a medium dog(30-40lbs) and she is a 4yr old pit bull terrier mix. thanks!

I have a 3 month old Chihuahua mix female puppy. She does not like being held. When you try to pick her up she thinks you're playing and starts nipping. Is this just her age or will she probably never like being held if that's her current personality?

Also, if you know of any human foods that they shouldn't eat, I would appreciate that information, too.

I have a 6 month old lab/shepherd mix who LOVES to play fetch. She has no problem bringing the ball/frisbee back to me, but she won't let go of it! She doesn't growl when I try to take it away but she likes to see if I can take it from her. She starts obedience class in 2 weeks but I'd like to stop the 'accidental' chewing of my hands now while I'm trying to get the ball back. I've tried ignoring her until she drops it but then she just walks away. I've also tried throwing one ball and when she brings it back to me, to throw the second ball hoping she'd drop the first. A lot of times she just brings the first ball with her to get the second one! She knows sit, shake, lay down, off... but this is one I just can't get her to do! Patience, I suppose. Any ideas?

No more than one kind of dog. It can't be a purebred. Not the dog you have, your favorite. If at least one of you follow that rule then you will get best answer. If none of you do, I won't choose anyone. And if all of you do, I will choose someone with my favorite kind. If one person answers this question then they are winner by default. Ready, let's start.
