mostly these fighting dogs are pit bulls. I think this is how pit bulls began their bad rep. their srry *** owners fighting them and making them hateful. I just don't see the point of this crap. I see this on t.v. all the time and it makes me soooooo sick!!!!!!!! many of these people are on drugs or have a drug related rep also. it's an awful problem in our society along with overpopulation. I don't see the meaning of it, it's not funny by any means either, it's bullshit!! why do awful, cruel people do this to poor innocent pit bulls? they fight until the death!!!! they're the reason why nobody trusts that specific type of breed of dog. what do you think? I just want too know! I don't understand it at all!!!!!

We took our two dogs for a walk yesterday. We walked for about an hour on a dirt road in temps of about 85-90 degrees. Within an hour of getting home, we noticed that one of the dogs was licking his paws. Closer examination revealed that the pads of his paws were peeling off. He also seemed a little flushed even though he had had some water during the hike and after we got back as well.
Any ideas?

He is very good indoors and only 'marked his territory' a few times when first brought into the apartment. We are considering leaving him loose in the apartment while at work. Of course, he hates being crated. He has been left out at night and has been okay. But yesterday he pee'd in his food bowl after eating all the food in it. This concerns us. If left alone for 6 hours, will he pee other places. He didn't indicate that he needed to go out. This morning when I had to crate him, he was very resistant! I hate having to do it. We have only had him for a week. What should we do? Why would he pee in his bowl?

My dog (10 year old jack russell) just had a grade 3 mast cell tumor removed. The doctor highly recommended chemo. Do you have any experience with this? Is it very hard on the pet? How do they do it? Is it costly? Thanks for any feedback.

I have watched as my dog intentionally picks up her bowl and tips it over. She then pushes it on over with her nose. She's a 1 yr old siberian husky.

Someone was giving away free German Shepherd puppies and it was my son's 6 B-day, so I got one. This dog has had no shots and I know nothing about him. He is very gentle so far and seems to already be house trained. When we take him outside he poops and pees. Please tell me, what should I do as far as training and such. I read about ill tempered breeds, How do I know about this dog or do I have to wait till he gets a certain age to find out he is mean aand vicious.... Please give any advice.

I have a 14 week old Boston Terrier, and just in case you don't know, they have those squished in noses that can make it difficult to breathe. He overheats pretty quickly and the high for today is 103 (ish). We have his puppy obedience class tonight at 6:00; the classes are held outside and there is NO shade. Should I take him to class today? He's been sick before due to the heat and I'm not sure what to do. Thanks in advance for your opinions, suggestions, etc.
