Previously when I was going to school I was able to come home and take him out every few hours. I am going to be working from8-5 now and don't want him to hold it for 9 hours! Is there a way to potty train him so that he can go on a pad or a certain place in the house? I don't have a doggy door, or know anyone who can come and take care of him. Please let me know any method that you've used that work.

Our bullmastiff has been eating bugs since we brought him home at 8 weeks of age. Although nothing wrong with having a full time exterminator, it is a bit disgusting. When Mr. Orkin was here he didn't eat them. Our granddaughter who is absolutely terrified of bugs thinks there can not be a more perfect situation. She screams, he tracks it down and eats it. Her first encounter with his bravery, she exclaimed with such admiration "He is a protector." That he is, but is this normal??

I have a 3.5 yr. old black lab who is the biggest sweetheart in the world. When we play with certain toys when she comes to give them to you to throw, sometimes she comes at you with a lot of energy and sometimes steps on your bare feet and it hurts! What is the best way to teach her to watch out for peoples feet?

I am trying to choose a vet and I was wondering what other people like about their vets. How do you choose a vet? What do you like most about them? What do you look for?

I just bought a puppy 2 months ago. He has been wormed, but yesterday I found this worm looking thing in his cage. He's not in his cage much anymore. But the worm was 1/2 inch greeness brown, fatter in the middle. Ugly and alive. Could that be a heartworm?

I would play around with my mom's dogs by grab their tail and move it so they can sniff it, they alway end up bite it. Why do they do this? I also notice other dogs do it as well.

I've grown pretty close to my pup, and I guess he thinks of me as his mother. He follows me everywhere(Even the bathroom) and he gets very jealous when I make physical contact with others(Like a hug). But sometimes I wonder if he senses how much I care about him. I think it's pretty obvious that we've growned attached, but could he possibly feel love for one as well?

his neighbor's 8month old beagle puppy ran out of the house when his little girl opened the door. The beagle went straight for the bunnies and the old man instead of trying to chase away the poor pup with a broom or something, goes inside and gets a shotgun and shoots him right in front of the little girl. I found this to be TERRIBLE, being an animal lover I do not see how this man could be so cold hearted to do such a thing. What do you think? do you think that he had the right or not?(forget what any law says because where I live what he did was illegal) What are your thoughts about this?
