This puppy will still be growing for about another 6-9 months. give him time. Just make sure that he is good weight. Your vet would tell you whether or not. If he's not eating enough, your vet could tell, and could probably also give you some advice, if need be.

Since he is a mix, perhaps the more streamlined Shepherd is predominant in his physical appearance as opposed to your other dog of the same mix who may have predominant build of the Rottweiler breed. At 7 months, 50 lbs. would seem appropriate. He certainly isn't done growing or filling out until around 18 months of age. If you are concerned, have your vet check him over with basic weigh in, stool sample, etc. just to be sure he is healthy. If so, just keep him on a good quality diet and make sure he gets plenty of exercise to insure his muscoskeletal system gets a chance to develop properly.

You can help your puppy put on the weight with
a high protein dog food. The only thing you should be care full sometimes too much to fast will make them bowlegged.

it is very important you feed these dogs a quality PUPPY food formulated for LARGE BREEDS - it will slow the growth so you dont get problems with the growth plates in the joints

good foods are NOT sold in wal mart or grocery stores
