we r making a cake and decorating the house im 14 and this is my first dog so i was just wondering do u go that far and wut do u do when its ur pets birthday

YES! LOL I asked the question yesterday, what should I get my cat for her birthday thursday? LOL Alot of people actually said they celebrate their pets b-days too! WHERES THE PARTY AT?!?!? LOL

I also have a basset hound that is 5 years old. He is a family member so Yes we have a birthday for him too. I buy him toys and we even wrap them up. He gets five for being five years old, he unwraps them but I tell everyone not to teach their dog this because he takes all our presents on our B-Day too, if there wrapped.
Basset hounds are the best they are sooooo cute. Nice to know there are other good dog people. Good luck and Celebrate.

We don't celebrate it, but my dog has one we gave to her (she was 5 months old when we got her on January 5). She'll be 15 on August 5! Sometimes we'll buy her a box of treats for it. However we do buy her Christmas presents and yes, we do wrap them. (The humans open them for her, though.)
Oh, she also has a Christmas stocking.
Oh wow, I just realized my dog's older than you. I hope that doesn't offend you, but it's kind of funny.

Yes, I do. I don't know his actual birthday, but he was 10 weeks old when I got him so I made his birthday Valentines day.

yes. i always celebrate my dog's birthday. his birthday is only a week after mine so its not hard to forget :) i usually take him to his favorite places and make him his favorite food. my dog loves to go to the beach so when its his birthday i always take him there :) tell ur dog i said happy birthday !

I don't but my sister likes to give my dogs birthday and Christmas gifts.

well, i celebrate a little, but mostly buy them a christmas gift, and for that i heat up a hot dog just a little, wrap it in wrapping paper, and hide it uder the tree among other gifts, they always find it right away!

I've never done it, but sometimes I sing "happy birthday" to my Rottweiler.
