The dog was their pet since birth, slept in the bed with me, their mother. Dog was part of the family so much - in photos and welcomed at picnics. How much do you tell them and what is too much? They have never lost a pet or family member as of yet. My children do believe in God....

Hello there,
is it possible to teach your dog to punch other dogs? Why bite when you can punch and maybe even kick? I'm teaching my dog martial arts - he can break wood now! But can they punch? o_O

I have a pet dog, a Shih Tzu. He used to never leave my side. However, I decided to cut off all his hair for the summer time, and now he will not respond to me. He's been very grouchy and snaps more often. What is the matter with my Prince William?

He got the rash recently after we went camping when my husband had also gotten poison ivy. My dog doesn't itch the rash and he doesn't seem to notice it, but the bumps do produce a greenish substance that does come back even after I wash it. The vet tells me that it will go away but I was wondering if anyone has a remedey to help the process or other suggestions. Thank You

He's about 5 months old and he's a bigger sized dog. He always jumps on me or when I walk in front of him he'll get right in front of me. When I tell him no he doesn't pay a whole lot of attention and when I smack him-no matter how hard- he thinks I'm playing and it gets him more excited. I don't know what to do because I know he's just being friendly and he doesn't know what he is doing is bad but I need to get him to stop. (I can't afford obedience class)

She spent the whole day running around my house. How do i calm her down? And when I'm sleeping and she's next to me, she continues to wake up and bother me as I'm trying to sleep. How can I get more sleep?

My wife and I have been researching dog breeds for a few weeks now and have seemed to decide on getting a Boston Terrier. This question is for those of you who currently own one or really know the breed. Do you think the breed will match us?We both work full time. She would come home on her lunch break and I work from home on Fridays so the puppy wouldn't be alone too often. We live in a large one bedroom apartment which seems to be enought space. We also have a large enclosed patio and are considering installing a doggie door. Walking and excercising shouldn't be a problem. I'm just being cautious. Do they bark alot?

Okay, well- Like a week ago ther was a tick That I found on my chihuahua's Eye brow, and then I couldnt get it off, and Finally I did with tweezers. It wuz just one of them normal little gys. But ya, anywayz lately since then therz been microscopic ticks all around his eyes- they cant be lime ticks cuz I know wut those look like, but they are those tiny pin-head ones. So what Im wondering is if its possible for a tick to like, hav babies er eggs right on a dog? And if so...how do I get rid of them? I can seem to get the tiny ones off, and with tweezers Im afraid my dog will get scared and jerk his head, causing me to poke his eye:-(
Any suggestions are Greatly apreciated!
