Okay, well- Like a week ago ther was a tick That I found on my chihuahua's Eye brow, and then I couldnt get it off, and Finally I did with tweezers. It wuz just one of them normal little gys. But ya, anywayz lately since then therz been microscopic ticks all around his eyes- they cant be lime ticks cuz I know wut those look like, but they are those tiny pin-head ones. So what Im wondering is if its possible for a tick to like, hav babies er eggs right on a dog? And if so...how do I get rid of them? I can seem to get the tiny ones off, and with tweezers Im afraid my dog will get scared and jerk his head, causing me to poke his eye:-(
Any suggestions are Greatly apreciated!

Don't use tweezers anymore, they just get the body off and sometimes leave the head in your dog's skin leading to annoying (not harmful) infecions! Ticks do lay their eggs in the furr of dogs, so you'll want to get some pretty good flea and tick medicine. Ask your vet about what kind would work best.

Hope i helped some! and i hope your dog feels better soon!

The only way to remove a tick is with a hot match. Light the match, blow it out, and put the hot match on the body of the tick it will remove the head. This also works for humans to, it is the only way. Tweezers only removes the body not the head of the tick. Get some Advantage or other flea and tick treatment at your local pet store. Animals need to be treated as directed on the treatment type you get. Even getting the tiny ones off, if you don't flush them in the toilet and just throw them in the trash or on the floor they will get back on you dog. The head of the tick that you removed may still be there. If you call a your vet, you will get charged a higher fee for him to treat your dog. Getting the Advantage treatment at the pet store is cheaper. You might want to call the vet about the tick's head, but the vet will ask if you are giving your dog treatment. Hope this helps.

Hi there! I am a chihuahua owner too! And I have also experienced many tick problems in my life with other dogs. Yes, ticks can have babies and form clusters of little ticks. This is a complete NIGHTMARE! We had to put one of our dogs to sleep because honestly, the ticks took too much blood! I know that is sad but we did all we could do. Anyway, PLEASE take the dog to the vet. You need help professionally. When you pluck with tweezers, you risk leaving the head and this could become fatal. Good luck with this and I hope everything goes okay and the ticks leave forever! I hate ticks!!

Ticks don't reproduce on a host, they just feed. There are some very effective products on the market for tic control on dogs and cats. Speak with your vet about what product to use.

Sounds like seed ticks. You will have to get some tick killer for them. Talk to a Vet.

Yes...they will hatch eggs on a dog....get a good flea and tick shampoo and bathe him in it....Do like it says....to kill ticks leave it on him for 5 minutes or whatever the directions say. That should fix it
