My friend's dog has been vomiting and having diarrhea last week. We sent the dog to the hospital, and they said the livers are "overheated". He went into ultrasound, and other examination that doesn't require a surgery. The results are back today, and they couldn't find anything he is diagnosed with. They made sure that it is not cancer or anything that can be seen. The dog will be going into a surgery tomorrow for taking samples of the liver. But the examination will take a week. If they couldn't find out whats happening, we have to let the dog go. I wonder if there is any professionals here or dog owners have had the same experience, and can give me some advice.

I have a female, 8 month old, min pin/chihuahua mix. We usually keep her in her crate during the day with her bed and toys, but if it's on the weekend and we'll only be gone for an hour or two we'll keep her in the bedroom and leave the TV on and shut the door. It never fails, when we return she has torn something up. It started with the carpet. She has dug up a nice area in the carpeting. She also chews on the corners of our dresser and bed. She has since graduated to taking the floor mat from the bathroom and likes the tear into it on top of the bed (she even tries to do that when we're in the room). We leave a clean pee-pad on the floor next to a little bowl of water since summer's here. She doesn't pee on the carpet, we just leave the pad in case. She rips that up though. We come home to shredded, still clean, pee-pads all over! What can we do so she will chew on her toys and leave everything else alone??

She occasionally jumps up and points her head towards it as if she's just had an electric shock. She's pretty unhappy with her nether regions at the moment. She had her anal glands cleared out the other day as that's usually the problem, and I've wormed her. Anyone got any ideas?

I live in a apartment that does not allow dogs. So when I move out of this place what kind of dog should I get. I know about shelter dogs but I am talking about what breed should I get? Tell me about the personality if you know about that breed. O my huskey is at my dads so I want one at my moms.

I asked why my new puppy doesn't like her cage and everyone verbally attacked me. It is O.K to put your puppy in a cage for a little while, I'm not torturing it or anything....geez.

I have a pit/cur mix who is the best dog I swear I've had. She was raised with my kids, 7 months old, NOT aggressive at all now. She's soo laid back that my 2 yr. old can do whatever she wants to her and she just lays there, LMAO except when she has carrots(she tried shoving one up her butt one time) then she runs like hell. But, I've heard that it can make her aggressive.I do not want puppies, cannot afford puppies, or have the time for a litter.
