Have known those who have wolf mixes...very nice dogs, but a full wolf may not be very trustworthy..never turn you back on it. Instinct is a very powerful thing.

We had a part wolf part chow growing up and she was the best dog we ever had. In fact as soon as I finish my fence I will be getting one myself.
They are a family pet, meaning that they need to be a big part of your family with lots of interaction, since they instinctively live in packs. They simply can't be tied up and left in the backyard. Ours got into a lot of trouble in the city, but only when we "neglected" her (by leaving her in the backyard and only feeding and watering her, without much interaction)
Be prepared for lots of shedding. Twice a year hair comes off in HUGE Clumps, handfuls and handfuls of hair.
Ours also did A LOT of Digging and making tunnels and burros for a cool place to rest.

I have a Timber wolf/German Shepard. She is 10 months old, very smart (maybe to smart for me) and the gentlest dog I have ever known. I trust her completely with all my friends kids. If this is a breed you are interested in, be prepared, they bore very easily, and need a lot of love!

I have a Wolf Hybrid, 90%. Very, very smart. Wolves are not for everybody though. Do your homework before buying!

I knew a girl who had a dog who was part wolf...she was a great pet, sweet, gentle, and intelligent. Beautiful, too.

my dog, bisket, looks like a wolf.she is german shepard mixed with husky.she looks like a black wolf.she has gray eye brows.its cool.
