He got the rash recently after we went camping when my husband had also gotten poison ivy. My dog doesn't itch the rash and he doesn't seem to notice it, but the bumps do produce a greenish substance that does come back even after I wash it. The vet tells me that it will go away but I was wondering if anyone has a remedey to help the process or other suggestions. Thank You

Follow the vet's advice but I also would try benadryl. The dose depends on the size of the dog my largest dog weighs 196 lbs so I can give him a standard adult human dose, my smallest weighs 30lbs so I give her 1/2 of 1 pill. be carefull also if he does start to scratch at it he can cuase sores which can become infected.

Get him Benadryl cream. It could be just an allergic reaction to something. My dog is allergic to my grass and it clears her right up. I too have heard that dogs don't get poison ivy. Keep it clean and but Benadryl cream on it.
