As a kid a remember always seeing some somewhere or another, either on the pavement or in the park, but you never see it anymore. Where's it gone? and why was it white in the first place?

I remember white dog poo...as a matter of fact I was thinking about it just the other day. I saw some light poo and wondered to myself.....this is the first time I remember seeing poo this light since I was a kid. I have no idea why it was white...I always thought because it was petrified it turned white. Im sure at the time I was learning about fossils and all of that in school. yeah...lets bring back the white poo. If you remember it didnt smell either! HA

WOW!, Thank you so much for the memory... I almost forgot about white doggy poo. I too remember it from my childhood, along with candy cigarettes, B&W TV w/o remote and virgins...

I think white poo came from eating/chewing bones. Years ago dogs ate scraps and bones and they were a big part of the diet, weird that you don't see it today, bet you could recreat those wonderful memories by feeding your dog marrow bones or some real bones (but they could kill him).

OR, check ebay... bet you can find it there.

I remember white doggy poo too, I think it's more likely the food answer because I saw a doggy do a white poo once, so that can't have dried out in the sun, seen as it was fresh.

Ah those were the days. Sundried dog poop. Luckily, unlike the brown stuff it just turned to dust if you were careless enough to tread on it. Fortunately, nowadays people tend to clean poop up so it never gets the chance to go white. Todays kids dont know about white dog poop. Not sure about the diet comments posted here, but there could be some truth in that I guess.

Dog food got better. In the past it was bulked out with chalk and the like so that when all moisture evaporated it left only a white mound that either crumbled or blew away eventually.

It's because of all of the fillers and preservatives that they put into processed food these days. If you feed your dog an all natural diet, they will have white poo again.

dog poo?.....do you really miss dog poo?.....step in it a couple times by accident you wont miss it anymore...and geese.....that must have been some big geese to have poo the size of dogs...i'm thinking old dried up poo...cuz bird poo is purplish black until it dries, then it turns white...dont believe me look at my car, it has not had a bath this year yet and has a lot of evidence
