In case you don't know, Puggles are crossbreeds between beagles and pugs. What are they like? Are they inside or outside dogs? And do they make much noise?

I received what looked like an empty box for my birthday and was told it was a chihuahua puppy. I've been putting food in there for about a week now, but nothing has happened yet. Do I need to be more patient? Oh... wait! I think I see something!!!!!! Nope... sorry, it was just a speck of dust settling on some of the dry food. *sigh*

My husband used to work from home but is now working a regular office job. We wanted to find a companion for our dog Maggie so she wouldn't be lonely. We adopted Pookie two weeks ago but I'm not sure if it's a good fit. Both are rescue shelter dogs. I feel the shelter where we got Pookie misled us a bit. Maggie is about 2 yrs old, 15 lbs and very high energy. Pookie is supposed to be about 15 lbs but actually weighs 21 lbs. supposed to be 2 yrs old, actually 4 yrs old. She is very low energy and can't keep up on walks with Maggie so now we have to walk them separately. They are opposites and even sit on opposite sides of the room. Maggie loves car rides. Pookie vomits every time she gets in the car. Our family likes to go on RV trips.

My heart is torn. I like Pookie but she's just not a match for Maggie. Should I return her to the shelter where they can find Pookie a less active family and try to find a better match for Maggie?

I'm looking to buy from a breeder but not for a show dog, just for a companion. I found one for $500, is that a fair deal? I live in the Bay Area of CA

Does any one know a good exercise for dogs, besides walking, and running. My dog is a mini dachshund. She just got fixed in Dec. of last year, after her litter of puppies. She is now weighing in at 161/2 pounds. I have cut out snacks, and only feed her twice daily. I take her for walks, and let her run when I can find an enclosed space for her to do so. Are there any other people with ideas to help me. Thank you in advance for any feed back on this subject. I don't know what else to do witth out starving her completely. Or is it part of getting her fixed, and it just happens that way.
